Equilibrium Institute’s policy proposal package about the dynamisation of the Hungarian economy is now available on our website in English.
Despite being one of the poorest member states of the European Union, there are many opportunities in the Hungarian economy. Therefore, the aim of our economic policy proposal is to make Hungary one of the richest countries in the EU by 2030.
Hungary should create a paperless, digitalized, service-oriented state, capable of operating in a growth-friendly environment, where individuals and companies alike use electronic payment methods.
Domestic conditions have to be created to encourage the majority of Hungarian-owned, innovative and competitive large companies to grow out of the international market. Therefore, we have to eliminate the costly and distortive institution of non-refundable corporate subsidies based on individual government decisions and should promote the strengthening of Hungarian-owned “international champions” in the economy.
